Last week, I was driving on a road I've driven a 1,000 times, literally. I stepped on the gas and fishtailed. I did the same for the next four courners. Nothing different, perfect weather as normal, same brand of fuel, but tire spinning power? As NEVER before under any circumstance in five plus years. The very next time I drove it the water pump rotor grenaded. If that's a word. A) If my assumption is accurate and the extra horsepower came from the lack of resistence from the failing water pump, then how much hp does a water pump draw? or B) What else could it have been?
